These are some of
the most frequently
asked questions I have encountered,
along with my responses. |

As more questions
arise which might
be of general interest, I shall post them
here.

1. Question: Who
are you ?
|
 |
Answer :
My
name is Matthew Hubner (german: Matthias Hübner)
I was born
in 1958 in Hanover, Germany (Niedersachsen)
After
a two year stay from 1996-1998 in Florida, USA, I
returned to
Brunswick, Germany,
where I live and work as
a selfemployed graphic
designer, web artist & photo-
grapher.
Additonally I am working as a freelance copy-
writer and book author. |

2. Question:
When and how did you notice that you actually
suffered from
RLS, the Restless-Legs-Syndrome ?
Answer: It began about 1998, when I still
lived with my family as a
graphic artist
and photographer in Florida, USA.
It
was there that various symptoms consistent
with RLS began randomly occurring.
At that time, I had no idea what was going on, only
that something physically was changing, and it was not at all pleasant.

3. Question:
How did you know that it was the Restless-Legs-Syndrome ?
Answer:
I
had developed most all of the
typical symptoms of this illness. This was
finally confirmed by the medical community, as
evidenced by the certificates below.
When I took dopamine or dopamine agonists for treatment, I experienced
some relief,
but it was usually of a fleeting nature. The
dopamine reaction further reinforced the
obvious - I had the Restless-Legs-Syndrome, or more
appropriately: It had me
!
Here are 2 independant medical
certificates, that confirms the RLS-diagnosis:

4. Question: How
did you arrive at your cure ?
Answer:
One of
the things I did early on, ended up being very helpful. I am not sure if I
really knew why at the beginning, but it was really helpful in
analyzing the progression
and effectiveness of any attempted cures.I explored the internet from
beginning to end,
and talked to everyone I could.
Finally my persistence paid off. It ended up that a natural and holistic healer who was
actually in my circle of friends all along, held the key. It goes
without saying that after all
these years of suffering and dead ends, I was skeptical of
everything. However, I was
also desperate, so every possible solution was worth trying.
I thought, somewhere there must be an answer
that did not involve drugs. Yes, the
doctors may have suggested dopamine and other stuff.
However I had no desire to
replace one problem with a new one.
The side effects are already
known: nausea and dizziness, and the lesser publicized
tendency towards compulsiveness in eating, gambling and sexual habits.

5. Question: How long
did you suffer from the Restless-Legs-Syndrome ?
Answer: I have had this illness from about 1998 until June 2007, with all the
typical
symptoms like twitching, sharp pain, pressing pains etc.
The primary are that was affected was my feet, but it would peridically
involve every-
thing
up to my knees. The problem became
most acute when I was lying down
either on a
bed or a sofa. It goes without saying that
this was usually a time when I
desired some
rest, and absolutely the worst time to have an encounter with RLS.

6. Question: Which
medications for the Restless-Legs-Syndrome did
you take ?
Answer: I took
dopamin and dopamin - agonists,
but quickly became frustrated due
to the side effects, and the idea that these would have to be
taken until the end of my
life.
I kept hoping that modern medicine would find some new remedy in the meantime.
At different times, I took other remedies like such as
valerian, paracetamol,
as well as
various natural remedies including aloe vera.
But none of them finally helped defeating
the Restless-Legs-Syndrome - they just took off a little pain. (sometimes)

Question: Could your self-curing of RLS
have taken place faster ? Why did
it take at least eight years ?
Answer:
I can speculate, but have no precise answer for this. Certainly I was
exploring
uncharted territory. I was not following an existing road map. It
was more like I had a lot
of people telling me different ways to get someplace, but it would
be up to me to get
there. The bottom line is that I eventually found a
path that took me to that place where
RLS no longer affects my life.

8. Question:
How
do you feel, when suddenly after all those years,
you can
sleep through the night painlessly again and again?
Answer:
There really is no
describing the euphoric feeling ! It
is really gigantic !!!
I think that over time one
begins to accept any prolonged situation as their new reality.
That does not mean that it is
a willing acceptance, but rather a resignation that the way
things were is gone forever.
The longer a situation persists,
the more this new acceptance becomes established.
Obviously, this results in depression for many people
and I must admit that I also heard
it knocking on my door.
The simple ability to get a good nights sleep without
interruption; to go through a day
without the piercing, itching and other pains; to actually
be awake throughout the day
and not have your conscious moments clouded by
depression, suddenly seems so
incredible. But they are only incredible
because you have not lived a normal life but
rather the painful life of a RLS-victim.

9. Question:
Why are so many people, suffering from RLS, too - doubting that
your "cure" could help them, too ?
Answer:
I believe that many people are
suffering from this illness for a long time, so
they can hardly picture their life without the painful RLS
and also lost the belief that the
disease is curable.
On top of this, the "modern medicine" actually didn't succeed
to find any final curing
remedies. Until today, to my knowledge, only pain - and relief means are
on the market,
that has to be taken day by day, night by night. But nothing, that
heals the RLS durably
and finally.
However, "my method" shows that it works if only one really
wants and doesn't resign,
because I am still
RLS - free until today and it never ! returned again.
Since my
cure more than three years now passed by, painlessly and medicament-free.
